Mycobacterial Culture System

TK Culture System is the most advanced and practical rapid culture system for isolation of mycobacteria, drug susceptibility testing and species differentiation. The system consists of ready to use media and the automated incubator reader called Mycolor TK. TK SLC is the selective medium for isolation of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other mycobacteria. It is ready to use; it does not require addition of nutrient supplement (OADC) or selective antimicrobials, which are already in the media. The red color of TK SLC medium turns to yellow by mycobacterial growth and to green by growth of other organisms. Thus the medium can differentiate mycobacterial growth from contamination. TK Anti Tb PNB kit is a ready to use kit for susceptibility testing to first line anti-tuberculosis drugs and for differentiating M. tuberculosis complex species from Non-tuberculosis mycobacteria (NTM). Mycolor TK is the most advanced automated mycobacterial culture system. It provides growth curves, evaluates the results and predict type of organisms that grow in the tubes.
